Shirvani is a personal travel map where you can record the countries and cities you have visited, add notes and upload photos. This page explains what data the site stores and why.

What we collect

How we use it

Only to run the site: to sign you in, save your travel data to your account and show it back to you. We do not sell your data, show ads or use it for tracking.

To see how many people visit the site we use Cloudflare Web Analytics. It counts page views without cookies and without fingerprinting, and it cannot identify you.

Where it is stored

Data is stored with Supabase (database, sign-in and file storage, EU region) and the site is served by Cloudflare. Place descriptions are loaded from Wikipedia; your browser contacts Wikipedia directly when you open them. We keep private backup copies of the database and uploaded files for recovery; deleted data disappears from these backups within about three months.

Who can see your data

Your travel data is private to your account unless you turn on a public profile in Settings (it shows your map, countries and cities, and photos only if you allow it; notes and hotels are never shown). Uploaded photos and videos are stored at unguessable web addresses; anyone who has the exact address of a file can open it, so please do not upload anything you would not want shared.

Your choices

You can edit or delete your entries and photos at any time in the app, and export them under Settings → Backup / restore. Settings → Delete my data permanently removes your trips, cached place info, public profile and all uploaded photos and videos. After that only your sign-in record (email address and account ID) remains; to have it removed as well, email us at the address below.
